POEM ABOUT MY LIFE

My life is like a soap opera,

I don't know which way to run,

When I don't know which way to turn,

I just look at the sun.



For you are my sun,

You brighten my darkest day,

I don't know what I'd do

If you ever went away.



For seeing is believing,

and believing is seeing,

but when I think of you,

all my thoughts are decieving.



I give you my life,

take it with delight,

When I look at you,

You blow me out of sight.



Out of sight of all the things,

That I would've missed,

Like the spot where we first shared,

Our first big juicy kiss.



I think about my life,

And how without you its a blurr,

But when i talk to you,

My words all get slurred.



I don't want to go,

A day without your love,

When we are together,

You help me rise above.



Above all the things,

That make my life complete,

Like a life without your love,

Now that would be a cheat.



I never want to lose you,

I just love you so,

Please stay with me baby,

And promise you'll never go.

If I Could Go Back In Time



If I could go back in time,

Things I'd Change,

Like letting you slip away.



If I could go back in time,

to when we first met,

I'd change the things that i regret.



Like all those times,

i made you cry,

and all those nights,

and all our stupid fights.



If I could go back in time,

to all those days,

where we went our seperate ways.



Those days went by we werent together,

all that left me hurt and weathered,

but it brought us closer together.



I wish things would change,

from worst to better,

I miss all our silly love letters.



If I could go back in time,

I'd change the hurt and pain inside.



I dont wanna cause you pain,

i wanna give you joy,

our love is not a toy.



I wish I could go back in time,

so that way i would never make you cry,

I really wish I could lie.



Lie beside you skin on skin.

I gave you my heart,

It's yours to win.



If I could go back in time,

The things I'd change,

But our love will still,

remain the same.

WHAT HAVE I DONE




What do you do when you feel so blue.

Why do you cry, I love you true.

What do you do when your world caves in.

What do you do when you just want to be friends.




Why do you hide behind all your pride.

Why did I laugh when I saw you cry.

I don't want you to go, but i can't make you stay.

Why do I always push you away.




Why do you hide behind those big brown eyes.

and that devils smile.

Everything went so good for awhile.

You're a fool for everything you done to her.

All that hurt is still a blurr.




If you must leave, then just go,

I cant make you stay with my heart so cold,

I loved you for the things you do,

like i told you before, i would wait for you.




But this is what I feel i must do.

I hope for the best of you.

This love has been a downhill spiral.

Everything drives me wild.






Since you're leaving, I'm just gonna bust,

but baby we have lost all our trust.

This was no walk in the park for us.




I'm sorry for all the pain.

So much I've lost, too little i gained.




I'm falling hard for all of this.

But baby please know its you i will miss.




I don't want you to ever go.

I'll love you through it all,

rain, sleet, and snow.




I wish that you will stay.

But it is me that pushed you away.

But now as for me it is my dying day.




I hope you find happiness that i couldnt give,

And now as for us I'm not goin to live.

I wished this fairytale would never end,

You baby girl were my best friend.

I wish I was a better man.




Now you're gone.

And its too late for me.

I could've stopped you if i just believed.

But I'm selfish and I'm a fool.

And thanks to that I've been so cruel.




I wish you wouldn't ever go.

But now I just don't know.

I dont know what i will do,

But please believe I LOVE YOU!!!!

I loved you from the very start,
you took and mended my broken heart,
is this the end I pray its not,
I love you still with all I've got.

If this is the very end,
I pray to god we can still be friends,
I hope I will have you back one day,
but for in my heart you will always stay.

There comes a time we all must say goodbye,
but for you that time will never pass us by,
I pray for this to never be over,
for you are my special lover.

I will find you again someday,
and that is where,
I will forever stay.

I Almost Let You Go



Everything you say is making it hard for me to walk away,

i do love u in every way,

but when you're depressed idk what to say.

i will give up my life to make yours right,

i will give up my soul for our relationship to grow,

i will give up my heart,

so we can get off to a whole new start.


Im sorry i hurt u,

you're a dream come true please believe when i say i love you,

your friends were right and i was wrong,

i hope u listen to the words of my song,

if forever is forever i want it to be a forever as special as you and me,

i'll try hard to make things right,

to get such love thats out of sight.





Im not perfect and i dont pretend to be,

but without you theres no life for me,

dont hide your smile in the dark,

our love is a journey like Lewis and clark.

if we get through it together we can conquer all,

and without your love im just gonna fall.

DADDY'S ANGEL(poem for my daughter)





When dreaming, I'm guided to another world.

And I see a beautiful baby girl.





She's got her daddy's hair,

Her momma's nose and eyes,

When I see her smile it makes me wanna cry.




Accidents happen,

Accidents are made,

It was an accident that took you away.




Mistakes are made,

We can't stop them,

But you can't blame someone,

For things we can't change.




I know somewhere up above,

you're watchin over us with your love.




A loss is so tragic,

A loss is so blue,

Just know my angel,

Mommy and daddy love you too.




I wish I could hold you in my arms,

I would protect you from all harms.




When i dream this dream,

i never want to wake,

But my daughter please know,

That you were no mistake.




In my dream it feels so real,

And the pain I still feel.




No matter how far we are apart,

You're still here in mine and mommy's hearts.




We will meet again someday,

And in that day,

I will never go away.




You're in heaven,

We're down here,

But please don't forget,

We both still care.




I know I can't see you,

Or hold you in my arms,

But in this dream,

I will never be far.




This isn't the end,

We will meet again,

Just wait and see,

When me and mommy are

with you again someday.




I look toward the heavens,

I look toward the stars,

And i know that you're with us,

No matter how far.




For now I must go,

To this dream thats so real,

But remember one thing before i go,

THE BEGINNING OF MY NEW LIFE

(A POEM FOR BRITTANY)




On the day that we first met,

Will be a day I'll never regret,

But on that day I couldnt see,

That it would be just you and me.




It took three years for me to see,

That me and you would always be,

I've been through rough times over those years,

I've even shed a few tears.




In the summer of '07,

07-17 I saw heaven,

I wasn't sure at first what to do,

I never thought I'd have a chance with you.




But i got up the strength to ask you to be mine,

And without hestitation in the blink of an eye,

You said yes and everything was fine.




The days grew longer,

The nights grown shorter,

And our love gre stronger and stronger.




We've had our ups,

We've had our downs,

We even made a few frowns.




But as the obstacles happened,

We overcame,

And our love still remained the same through the change.




For seven whole months,

Our love still grew,

And thats when i realized,

I kne w what to do.




It was the day after V-day,

Februrary fifteenth two thousand and eight,

I just couldn't take it,

I could hardly wait.




And there in that bandroom where we first met,
I took your hand in mine and without a sweat,

I got down on one knee, and said,

Brittany Mae Dulin Will You Marry Me?




You thought I was crazy,

You looked at me and smiled,

You said yes and my heart went wild.




You pulled me up and started to kiss me,

We were both so happy and both full of glee.




A month or so we took that next step that all lovers do,

After we were done we said i love you.




The years crept on us slightly fast,

And before we knew it a year had passed.




We went through alot in that year,

From losing a baby,

And shedding a tear.




I look back at all we have been through,

But with everything that has happened,

I still love you.




Just the same as before,

But things have changed,

And I only love you more.




You are my everything,

My best friend and lover,

And so many things,

We have felt and discovered.


It's almost been two years,

We've laughed together,

We've cried together,

We're goin to spend our whole lives together.




Its funny how you look at then until now,

I don't really understand how.




How could an angel from heaven above,

Fall for a loser like me and give me your love?




I love you so much my dearly beloved,

Your smile, your eyes, your golden hair hunny,

Your beautiful face reminds me of a bunny.




You are my bunny,

You are my shooting star,

I am so glad we are what we are.


You baby girl, are my whole life,

Im so glad you are goin to be my wife.




Remember one thing before i go,

This love we share is one in a million,

I want to tell you exactly what Im feelin.




I can't wait till we say our I do's,

On September first two thousand eleven,

The angels will be singin in heaven,

Because on that day,

That glorious day,

It will be no maybe,

When I say I love you baby.




We'll go off in the sunset hand and hand,

then maybe they'll understand,

We will start our new life,

As husband and wife.

no i was in tears because it was so beautiful and i just realized how luck i really am. I say im lucky to have you but im more than lucky...i've found the most amazing person I will ever meet, and you're mine...and you're going to be mine for the rest of my life...and I dont even deserve it...but you dont care because you love me anyways, through all my flaws you just look right pass them and see the real me and nobody has ever done that before. I love you more than my own life and I dont want to take you for granted...I was crazy for ever hurting you or believing i could walk away...

I know it will, I can feel it...

awww thats sweet but i dont see why u were in tears b/c the poem wasnt that good.....
and no im the lucky one actually im more than lucky.....im not amazing you are and im always goin to be yours for the rest of ur life or until u get tired of me.....you do deserve me it is i who doesnt deserve you, of course i love you no matter what even through all ur flaws i look past them b/c i know the real you.....i love you more than my own life as well and i dont want to take u for granted either, but ur not taken me for granted.....awww you werent crazy it happens....

Mark, I read every single one of them. Those were amazing. Brought tears to my eyes and made me actually feel like i was in your shoes (though I never can be) & I got the message you're trying to say. You & Britt will be happy together, I know you will. But, keep writing, you're amazing as well as good guy.
